Come for some great outdoor fun for the whole family, to meet some new friends, and to find out what Crosspoint will be doing this fall!  We’ve reserved the pavillion at Woodscreek Park in Crystal Lake.   Here are the logistics…

Sunday, September 19th @ 4PM

Woodscreek Park (Golf Course & Ackman Roads in Crystal Lake)
Main Dish, drinks, paper goods provided.
Last names A-M bring side dish, N-Z bring dessert.

If possible, bring some camp chairs or a blanket for your family.

If it’s been a while since you’ve been to a Crosspoint event, or you haven’t had a chance to make it out yet, you don’t want to miss this!

We welcome all comers!

Join us at beautiful Randall Oaks Park for a Bring Your Own Picnic. Hopefully, the weather will cooperate a little better this time.

Randall Oaks is a beautiful park off Randall Road just north of Higgins. There are 2 playgrounds and a petting zoo for the kids, a frisbee golf course, and plenty of wide open space. Bring your blanket and lunch and have fun conversing with friends made over the past 6 months. Invite anyone to join us, this is a low key gathering. Be at the park sometime around noon and have fun eating in the outdoors.

]]> http://www.lithmission.com/?feed=rss2&p=173 0 The Search Recap http://www.lithmission.com/?p=170 http://www.lithmission.com/?p=170#comments Tue, 30 Mar 2010 22:08:24 +0000 admin http://www.lithmission.com/?p=170 Our March Main Event called “The Search” was a basketful of fun!  The Easter egg hunt was exciting not only for the little ones, but for the big kids as well.  We hid 3 camouflaged eggs that took the high schoolers a long time to find (good hiding, Debbie!). But the search was worth it because each one held a $25 gift card prize for either iTunes, Coldstone Creamery, or Panera.  After the little ones rifled through their eggs for the jelly beans and stickers, they worked with their family to create resurrection eggs to help them learn about Jesus’ journey to resurrection life!  While the kids were engaged, the adults got to talk a bit about the Real Truth of new life in Jesus and how people in the LITH community are searching for it.  And after grabbing a bottle of Coca Cola on the way out (cause the Real Thing reminds us of Real Truth!), most everyone met at Portillo’s for some much needed italian beef & hot dogs!
